The Cedar Grove Fire Department was organized on March 1, 1911. The department is an independent organization of volunteer firefighters associated together for the purpose of protecting life and property against loss by fire, or other natural or man made emergencies within the boundaries assigned to the department and offer mutual aid to neighboring communities when requested.
