Joining
Over 18 years old:
Anyone interested in joining the fire department is encouraged to do so.
He/she must contact the fire chief and fill out an application. New
members must then be voted on to the roster by the active members. All
new members must then attend min. "Entry Level Firefighter" class offered by
LTC. (It sounds like a lot, but don't worry, it's not so bad.)
Under 18 years old:
Anyone under 18 years of age is encouraged to join the Cedar Grove Explorer
Program. These explorers will be allowed to attend normal practices
and meetings. These members will be taught the basics of fire fighting
and rescue. Explorers are not allowed to fight any fire or go to any
calls involving vehicle accidents. Anyone interested please contact
Chief Greg Navis.
